Compassion Art

Life is creative and so are we.

Art is soul food.
Art is essential nourishment,
Art is spirit made manifest for the eyes and heart to feast on.
Art is joy!

In recent years I’ve been experimenting with sacred art, based on the principles and practices of Tibetan Buddhism, my original spiritual roots. For me this art form allows me to explore the dynamic interplay, and ultimately union, of inner and outer. These forms are designed to speak to and open the practitioners mind in ways that lead to genuine unfolding. To practice this art, however well or badly, lifts my spirit and brings me a lot of joy. I should do it more often :)

If any of these speak to you, you are welcome to request a print. Price varies depending on size. You pay for the printing and postage, and I welcome Dana/offerings/donations for the images themselves. Your generous support allows me to continue painting.
If there is something you’d like that you don’t see here, I am happy to work to your ideas and inspirations.

If it opens your mind, inspires your practice and your own creative spark, that is even better.
Thanks for viewing.

Go into the arts. I’m not kidding.
The arts are not a way to make a living. They are a very human way of making life more bearable.
Practicing an art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow, for heaven’s sake.
Sing in the shower. Dance to the radio. Tell stories. Write a poem to a friend, even a lousy poem.
Do it as well as you possibly can. You will get an enormous reward.
You will have created something.
