This workshop is for anyone wishing to bring deeper presence, connection, clarity and harmony into their communication and relationships with themselves and all others.
In a world where disconnection, polarisation and fragmentation inflicts pain on our hearts and our societies, the art and skill of deep listening is a profound offering to the wellbeing of our collective ecosystem.
What is listening?
How do we learn to listen with our whole bodies, our whole hearts, our whole selves?
Can we be willing to listen for what’s underneath the words - to the person, the pain, the past, present and potential?
What are the possibilities that we might find through deep listening - for compassion, for healing, for unity, for creativity, and for regeneration?
How can we each be engaged in, and part of, a global healing movement?
Through gentle guided movement, meditation, and individual and shared enquiry, we will learn how to develop, refine and apply embodied listening in our personal, professional and community lives.
The workshop will run as two half-day immersion sessions, with time for integration in between.
Day 1
Saturday 9:30am - 1pm
This is for people who are wanting to strengthen, grow and unfold their capacity for deep listening in their own lives.
We will begin on Saturday by nurturing our individual experience. Attending to our own body, heart and mind we will deepen the essential skills of self-regulation to come into a more congruent and compassionate relationship with our whole selves. As we develop trust in our own experience, we can build a reliable, loving ground to attune to life as it arises in us, and respond from our creativity and our care.
Day 2
Sunday 9:30am - 1pm
This is for people who wish to further develop how to work with others with more ease, clarity, authenticity and potency.
On Sunday we will practice applying our embodied listening skills to engaging with others, and explore how to bring our full presence into the world. We will be supported by the practices of transparent communication and compassionate enquiry, to stay present with ourselves as we are present with others. Through our commitment to ourselves - which is a commitment to supporting all of life - we can learn to freely share our uniqueness and gifts to our work and service to others.
As a group we will support each other through our caring presence, curiosity, courage, and shared experience, to bring the best of ourselves forth for the wellbeing of all.
A certificate of completion will be made available for professional development purposes.
“Our job is not to save the world, but to sense the world more fully, and to keep making it worth living in.”
Dr. Jem Bendell
Cost is $90 for Saturday only / $160 for both days
Attendance on Saturday is a prerequisite for Sunday, and preference will be given to those who can attend both days.
